Born 1970. Graduate from the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, Brno, where he now lectures, along with the University of Defence, on the topics of security policy and international relations. In 2007 he successfully finished his Ph.D. studies there. Between 2000-2002 he participated on the UNDP project in the countries of former Yugoslavia. Between 2005-2008 he represented the Czech Republic in the Regional Arms Control Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre – SE Europe. Since 2002, he has been a lecturer at the University of Defence in Brno. He focuses mainly on the topics of security threats and risks, armed conflicts in post-bipolar world, security aspects of European integration and the development of the security environment, especially in the southeast of Europe. He regularly publishes both in Czech and foreign scientific press. Completed the courses Post conflict management in multicultural societies (Ohrid, 2004), Civil-military relations (Borovec, 2004) and European Security (Gumpoldskirchen, 2007). Member of the board of editors of Defence & Security and Rexter journals.
