Comprehensive Political Guidance - Its Impact on the Czech Armed Forces

This Article analyses some aspects of the Comprehensive Political Guidance, which is creating a political arrangement for Alliance transformation process. This document was published at the NATO Summit in Riga at the end of 2006 and demonstrates the political unity of all member states as to the Alliance’s development into the more dynamic tool of global security. It defines commonly shared values and interests. It underlines the need for building up the expeditionary military capabilities for the more complex environment in next 10 to 15 years. The author of this article indicates possible implication of the Comprehensive Political Guidance for the planned development and deployment of Armed Forces of the Czech Republic.
