Defence & Strategy

The Editorial Board of the Defence & Strategy journal is an advisory body of the publisher and at the same time the executive authority directly involved in the production and the concept of the journal. The Editorial Board has a key and unsubstitutable role in the process of the publishing of the journal. The Editorial Board shall, in particular, consider the publishing plan, set standards for preparing contributions and parts of the journal, assesses contributions, recommends reviewers for the peer-review process (double-blind peer review) to the Chairman of the Editorial Board, discuss the measures of major importance for its editorial activities, etc. The Editorial Board consists of the leading experts from the security community in civil and military environments. Members of the Editorial Board are appointed by the publisher for the period of two years. Detailed information on the competences and responsibilities of the Editorial Board are specified in its Statute.

The present Editorial Board was appointed for the period January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2013. Membership certificates were presented to the newly appointed members by the Vice-Rector for Development, University of Defence, Colonel prof. Ing. Bohuslav Přikryl, PhD on April 6, 2012, on the occasion of the first residential meeting of the Editorial Board and the Defence & Strategy journal in 2012.
