A new Center for Security Studies was launched at Metropolitan University Prague on January 1, 2009. The Center aims to be student-oriented, both in terms of its operation and in terms of its activities, which include:
- annual student and experts’ conferences with panels on contemporary security topics,
- student research assistant positions in faculty-led research projects,
- roundtable discussions with practitioners from the field,
- movie nights.
